Kubuntu Linux runs the the desktop as a regular user account, and so all programs launched are launched in the context of a normal user account. Kubuntu Linux körs på skrivbordet som en normal användare, och så alla lanserat program lanseras i samband med ett normalt användarkonto.

To run a command-line program with superuser(root) priviledges, you normally will preceed the command with “sudo”, as shown in this example: Att köra ett command-line program med superuser (root) privilegier, ni normalt kommer att föregå med kommandot "sudo", som visas i detta exempel:

You can easily and quickly run any program as root by preceeding the command with the “gksu” command. Du kan enkelt och snabbt köra ett program som root av föregående kommandot med "gksu" kommandot.
