Comments on: Make VLC Player Look like Windows Media Player 10

i’m using linux(ubuntu) i downloaded the vlc skins n then transfered them to ~/.local/share/vlc/skins2, i then changed vlc to skin mode; after which it brought up “open a skin file” window. I typed “.local/share/vlc/skins2″ then selected one of the downloaded skin files. then clicked open.
To my disappointment it brought up the same “open a skin file” prompt window and another “Errors” window wit the following message “VLC could not open the file~/share/vlc/skins2/default.vlt”
Now i cant even load vlc coz it prompts for “open a skin file”. …….What can i do geek?

VLC does not seem to work in Vista Premium. I’m using VLC version 0.8.6b. I love this application and I consider it the best out there. Before (under Windows XP Pro sp2) I had no problems with it. However I am frustrated about the fact that I can’t get it to work under Vista. Any body experienced this? Can anyone help me resolve this issue.

Does NOT work; first off I don’t have VLC on my start menu.
Second… after wondering around the interface for a long time I finally found a place to put in the PATH to a skin ; which kind of worked.
Let’s make it easy ; just send me the registry keys and I’ll put them in instead. I routinely edit the registry so I’m somewhat of an advance user.

Just use the PHP BB mods for the Bulletin Board

Thanks for tip. VLC is low on visual appearance, but it does play anything.
