Install Tabbed File Manager in Ubuntu Namestite zavihki File Manager na Ubuntu
One of the greatest mysteries to me is why most file managers don't have tabs - it makes performing tasks so much simpler. I've found a lightweight file manager for Ubuntu called PCMan that gives you most of the functionality from Nautilus, but also has tabs. To install this file manager, you can either use the built-in Add/Remove applications dialog or use the command line. Just type in PCMan into the search box, and change the drop-down to “All Open Source applications” and you'll see it in the list. I used PCMan File Manager for sometime because it had a tabbed interface. Včasih sem PCMan File Manager za bivši, ker je vmesnik z zavihki. I became frustrated with the long time it takes to generate thumbnails for pictures. Postal sem uničen s dolg čas, potreben za ustvarjanje sličice za slike. I have some directories with lots of photos and desktop backgrounds. Imam nekaj imenikov z veliko fotografij in namiznih okolij. So for the time being I've switched back to Nautilus and anxiously await further development of PCMan FM. Torej zaenkrat sem preklopi nazaj Nautilus in nestrpno čakajo nadaljnji razvoj PCMan FM.

I would have liked this a lot more, if prior to installation, I had been told that Place/Computer would no longer bring up the CD/DVD and other devices. Jaz bi želel to veliko bolj, če pred namestitvijo, sem imel v preteklosti povedali, da Kraj / računalnik ne bi več bruhati CD / DVD in drugih naprav. Now they are gone and I can't get access to them. Zdaj so odšli in ne morem dobiti dostop do njih.

This shouldn't change anything on the place menu… in fact, most people's complaint is that it doesn't integrate into gnome. To se ne sme spremeniti ničesar na kraju meniju ... v bistvu, večina ljudi očitek je, da se ne vključi v gnome.

What is worse, sudo apt-get remove pcmanfm left me with NO file manager. Kaj je slabše, sudo apt-get odstranite pcmanfm me je zapustila, brez datotek. It should at least be polite enough to restore what it removed. Treba bi bilo vsaj vljudno, da bo ponovno vzpostavil kaj ga odstrani. Or at least ask and re-install. Ali pa vsaj vprašati, in ponovno namestiti.

It's very difficult to uninstall nautilus, as it draws the desktop. To je zelo težko odstraniti nautilus, saj želi namizju. You can try relaunching it with Alt+F2 and nautilus, or log out and back in… Lahko poskusite s ponovnim zagonom je Alt + F2 in nautilus, ali odjavite in nazaj v ...
Otherwise, try apt-get install nautilus if it's really removed. V nasprotnem primeru poskusite apt-get install nautilus, če je res odstrani.

Nautilus IS a tabbed file manager. Nautilus IS zavihki upravitelja datotek. Just hit -T. Just hit-T. Or select from the menu: “File>New Tab”. Ali pa izberite iz menija: "File> New Tab".
Zeke, this post is from 2007 when Nautilus did not have tab capabilities. Zeke, to delovno mesto je od leta 2007, ko Nautilus ni imel kartico zmogljivosti. Tabs were not available in Nautilus until 8.10 Intrepid. Kartice niso bili na voljo v Nautilus do 8,10 Intrepid.
