Quick Tip: Set a Future Date for a Post in WordPress

In the blogging world, it’s important to post articles at roughly the same time each day so you can be consistent for your readers. So how do we accomplish this in WordPress?

It’s extremely easy to do, but it’s surprising how many new bloggers aren’t familiar with this feature, so that’s why we’re mentioning it.

Just create a new post, and then expand the Post Timestamp box on the lower right corner.

Make sure to check the box for “Edit timestamp” before changing the date to a time in the future.

Now just publish the article like normal, except it won’t show up until the date and time you specify.

I don’t know if this is for everyone-or even a problem/concern for everyone, but when I future date, it doesn’t alway update the categories.
