Fix for Problems with How-To Geek Sidebar Gadget Noteikt, Problēmas ar How-To Geek sānjoslas sīkrīku
Yesterday was just unlucky. Vakar bija tikai nelaimīgs. Not only did a server crash at work, but the How-To Geek Vista gadget just stopped working. Ne tikai servera crash darbā, bet How-To Geek Vista gadget vienkārši pārstāja darboties. After learning how to debug sidebar gadgets (more on that later) I finally found the problem: Our gadget had been blocked by Feedburner. Pēc apmācības, kā atkļūdošanas sānjoslas sīkrīkus (vairāk par to vēlāk) es beidzot atklāja problēmu: mūsu sīkrīku tika bloķēta ar Feedburner.
I followed up with them and they confirmed that they had blocked our gadget for excessively hitting their servers. Es sekoju līdzi viņiem, un viņi apstiprināja, ka tas bloķē mūsu sīkrīku pārmērīgi hitting saviem serveriem. Crap! Muļķības!
So… I've modified the gadget to use the How-To Geek feed directly from this site instead of from Feedburner, and I'm releasing version 1.1 for everybody. Tātad ... Esmu izmaiņas sīkrīku izmantot How-To Geek barību tieši no lapas nevis no Feedburner, un es esmu izlaistu visiem 1.1 versiju.
At least this time we won't end up getting blocked… Vismaz šajā laikā mēs beigās kļūst bloķēta ...
