Show Shortcut Keys in ScreenTips in Visual Studio 2005

If you are a keyboard kinda person, you'll probably prefer to use a shortcut key rather than always clicking on a menu item. Visual Studio has so many shortcut keys that sometimes they are difficult to remember.

An easy way to help yourself remember the keys is to make sure the shortcut keys show up in the Screentips when you hover your mouse over a button.

To make sure this setting is turned on, go to Tools \ Customize and you will see this screen:

Make sure that the "Show shortcut keys in ScreenTips" box is checked.

Here's what you'll see if you hover your mouse over a menu button:
