See More Items in the Recent File / Project Lists in Visual Studio 2003

The start page for Visual Studio 2003 shows only the last 4 projects by default. How that is supposed to make sense is beyond me. The Recent Files and Recent Projects list on the File menu are also extremely limited.

The good thing is that this is an easy fix.

Go to Tools \ Options \ Environment \ General, as you can see in the screenshot:

To show more items, just update the “Display x items in window menu” or “Display x items in most recently used lists” with the count that you want. I’ve used 10 and 20, respectively.

Much better!
