Quick Tip: Email Your Calendar in Outlook 2007

This article was written by MysticGeek, a tech blogger at the How-To Geek Blogs.

Have you ever wondered if you can share your Outlook calendar with somebody else? This is one of those tips that you never notice until somebody points it out to you, but it’s extremely easy to do.

Click on the Calendar button in the navigation pane and select “Send a Calendar via E-mail”

1

You will see an options window that allows you to choose and select the date range and amount of detail to include. You’ll notice that you can use the Advanced options to include extra data if you choose.

2

That’s it!  Outlook will populate an email message, so just select the person you want to send to, and send away.

Any similar functionality in Outlook 2003?

  2. Blank Calendar

I would also like to know if this is possible in earlier versions of Outlook.

  3. Molly

Can someone who has outlook 2003 receive an email from outlook 2007 and see the calendar that was emailed to them? Understand that? My husband has 03 at work and I just sent him an email with our family calendar from my 07 outlook. He can’t seem to find how to open it.

@ Mark: You cannot do this natively in Outlook 2003, however Xobni add-on has an ability to generate a text-only version of this.

@Molly: The attachment can be opened in both version, he should be able to simply double-click it while viewing the message.
