Add Line Numbers In Word 2007 Margins
All geeks love line numbers… you can even add line numbers in your Word 2007 documents with just a few steps.
Open your Word 2007 document and click the Page Layout tab on the ribbon. Click on Line Numbers and then Line Numbering Options…
You will now get The Page Setup dialog window. At the bottom of the page click on Line Numbers.
In the Line Numbers dialog box place a check in the Add line numbering box. Here you can select spacing between the text and line numbers what number to start at and the counting sequence. When you’re done choosing your settings click OK. Then Click OK again in the Page Setup dialog window.
That’s it! You now have numbering added to the margins in your document.

I am looking for a way to extend the line numbering option. Not only do we want the line numbers on the page, we also want the page numbers there also. Example: 0001:12 would be page 1, line 12. 0003:24 would be page 3 line 24. It would not necessarily need the colon, but something similar.
Any help would be appreciated.

Is there a way to keep the lines of text numbered not just the lines. If we put a space in that has no text we do not want to count that as a line. We only want to count lines of text. (Shakespeare, etc.) Is there a way to do it?
I need to move the numbering to the RIGHT margin AND change the font AND I’d also like to number every line, not just the ones with text (when using paragraph spacing, not ENTER, ENTER, ENTER).
