how to save & exit the pages viewed in safari 4? coz after closing safari and reopening i cant see my previously opened pages.i m unable to do so.can anyone help me on this????

when I hit edit, there’s no preference selection…what I want to do is get my old dell start page back. It is now full of all sorts of things—which I try to x off but the next time I try the start page again, all of these things I don’t want are there

what ya doing wrong is closing the the preferences.

DO NOT CLOSE IT

hit another tab and you will get the confirmation to change the homepage,

Then close it and restart

Hmm, I am suddenly getting similar problems using Safari 3.0.4 on a MacBook running OS10.4.11, except that my homepage APPEARS to be saved correcly, but the computer just can’t find it & heads off to kolmin.com or click2find.com on the net and does a search. Even after closing such windows, the browser repeats the searches periodically.

I got mine to stick once, and I even still have 2.0.4. Sadly, I don’t know how I did it. After about six months, it went back to Apple’s homepage again and I have not been able to keep the changes again.

Here’s the weird thing — Safari on my Windows XP has worked super fine for 3+ months…. and now all of a sudden in the last 24h, it has the bug as described in this thread — can’t save homepages, and other annoying things (like displaying the bookmarks toolbar) resets to off everytime I close/open.

Back to Windows Explorer I guess grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
