Friday Fun: Sydney Shark

sydney-shark-00

Another long week is finally coming to an end, so why not have a little fun to finish the week out before going home? In today’s game you become a powerful shark determined to turn the Sydney coastline into one long smorgasbord while causing as much mayhem and destruction as possible along the way.

Note: You will most likely encounter a small video ad as the game is loading and then again when your final score is displayed. Both come with a small clickable link for skipping the ads.

The object of the game is to eat and cause as much mayhem/damage as possible with your shark while traveling along the coastline.

There is a short, cheesy trailer that you can watch if desired. Better keep your eyes on the water Rick!

The game is easy to control…just use the Arrow Keys for movement and the A or Ctrl Key for biting.

Time to start the munch-fest! You can monitor your score in the upper left corner, the distance left to travel along the coastline in the upper right, and see a running summary of your accomplishments in the lower left while playing the game.

You can attack or bite targets above the water as well as below. And yes, the shark is “cool” enough to actually wear a hat and sunglasses in the game.

Our shark was being highly effective here…there was so much mayhem going on with the exploding boat, a swimmer being vaulted out of the water, and parts of the boat already sinking that he was not even visible.

Notice the small yellow sign near the top of the screen. These will appear when a viable target such as helicopters, planes, and people on boats are within range (if your shark jumps out of the water to get them).

Flying high!!

If your shark is in biting mode when he leaps out of the water, then you will see the graphic shown in the lower right corner here. Rawrrrr!

Nom! Nom! Nom!

There is only one level to the game, so when you reach the end of the coastline you will be presented with your score. From here you can play again, view the trailer, and more. Good hunting as you swim into infamy!!

Fun game! Although I might have to replace the ‘A’ button on my keyboard if I play too much of it.
