Social services and networks are an excellent way to relax and have fun or stay connected with the important people in your life. This week we would like to know which social service or network that you use.
There are all kinds of social networks and services available to meet your online needs and the number keeps growing every day. Whether it is managing your photo collections, blogging, connecting with family & friends, or updating your current location there is a service or network ready to help out. Depending on your needs or available time you may only be active on one or two services & networks. Or you could be very social and feel that there is just not enough time in the day to experience it all.
Your choice of social services and networks is a very personal decision. Do you like how the website is set up? Perhaps they have easy to use features. Are you active there just to have fun or are your interests focused more on maintaining professional contacts. Social services and networks are also a great way to release news updates and help bring attention to your business. It is all out there waiting for you.

I voted OTHER since there was no button for NONE. I don’t need a social network to be socialble. Friends and I have been able to communicate just fine via e-mail, telephone, and face to face. People don’t need an up to the minute blow by blow account of every day of my life, especially just any Tom, Dick or Harriet (don’t think privacy sttings can’t be compromised). Social networks have been a hotbed of scams and computer invasions if one doesn’t have privacy settings properly set. Even then, people are constantly getting duped into bypassing those settings which can put other people in their personal network at risk. I just don’t have the time and energy to expend on maintaining a social network page. Before anyone accuses me of being a technophobe who hasn’t tried it, I had a MySpace page for a short while. Big deal.
I like Twitter because it’s short and simple. People post too much crap on Facebook.

Twitter is my favourite network but I keep having to check Facebook to interact with friends too scared to move out of the shallow-end of the pool :S

Facebook will always be number 1,
After joining Facebook, it took over my life — and not in a good way.
Instead of going out to spend real time with real friends, I spent far too much indoor time reconnecting with old friends that led to nothing but tons of email, not planning to do anything except send messages to people I really never saw — or even spoke to on the phone. I didn’t read a book or seriously listen to music because I was always on Facebook. So I closed my account and never looked back.
For people who prefer the quantity rather than the quality of “friendships,” grab you ur fave social networking app/site and go for it!
As for me. I prefer face-to-face interactions — especially with true friends who aren’t texting or checking their email on their smart phones while I’m trying to talk to them.
I know I’m in a small minority, but so are the best friends I have.
