well i dont know anything about the "firefox no squint" thing... but ive learned you can zoom things in and out if you hold the ctrl button, and spin the wheel. ive learned it works for internet explorer, and it works for desktop icons. if you click a item on the desktop, (but dont open, just highlight) then press ctrl+mousewheel it will make it bigger or smaller. it works for my internet explorer, microsoft office, desktop icons, and regular browser (like my computer folder)

see if it works... i dont know that you will even need the "firefox no squint" it seems to be a built in function on the computer. (but i can only speak for "windows vista home")

hope this helps :D

Edit; let me know if it works out for ya...

Holding the ctrl button while using the mouse wheel, should make your icons on the desktop bigger and smaller. (click on an empty space on the desktop first).

Try this. Unplug the mouse. Turn off the computer completely. Leave it for an hour. Turn it back on. Plug in mouse

If it is a laptop computer. Take the battery out as well.

Well, we shall start with something a little safer.
Start > Control Panel > Device Manager.
Double click on "Keyboards"
Right click on the keyboard and select "Update Driver Software..."
What happens?
