Thanks LH, worked perfectly. By the way, I'm running windows 7 build rc1 ultimate, so the fix works with it too.

I have the same problem. I found the files in Regedit. Could you please email me the files to correct the issue? Also, once downloaded to my laptop, does it automatically populate into the registry, or do I need to do something else after downloading the files? Many thanks.

Could you send me the registry file? I am having the exact same issue here and don't have another machine to copy the registry entries from. Thanks.

Nevermind, I played around with the powercfg command until it started working. The -RestoreDefaultSchemes switch did not fix the problem, but when I changed the active scheme from the command line everything went to working like normal. powercfg -setactive "guid of scheme you want" without quotes. is what I used. I have not restarted the machine or logged off yet, so I will see if it continues to work.

I'm having the same exact problem. LH I would really appreciate that file. I've already tried everything I could find on google with no luck. :(

No. Got it. Never post an email address. You will be haunted by spammers.
