I am trying to upgrade my Laptop from Windows7 ( Home edition which came with my laptop) to windows8 Pro. But when i checked the upgrade assistance it told me that "Your PC's firmware doesn't support Secure Boot so you won't be able to use it in Windows 8"... So what does this mean and is it necessary to have this one to operate my laptop..? And if i upgrade to Windows8, will there be any problem..? And also, will there be any updates for this on Windows8... Please help me guyz.. I have already purchased my Windows8 Pro.. So i dont want to waste it and also i dont want to take a risk in installing it on my laptop and loose data's etc.. Looking forward for your help friends...

Thank you in advance...
:)

It's a function in the machine Bios.

You don't have to use it.

In fact I have the function DISABLED in the Bios on my machines.

Windows8 Pro will run fine without it.
