Start >>> control panel >>> (under programs) Uninstall a program
see if you see it in the list... if its there... uninstall it... then reinstall it... when you go to do the reinstall for the messenger, (if it gives the option), checkmark the button that should say something like "make shortcut on desktop" so that you can find it, or pay attention to where it installs the stuff...
try again... if that doesnt work... then paste a error code, or give us something more so that we know what we are dealing with... thats a very vauge problem
