Most of us get our information from right here at howtogeek.com <g
Computer techs like myself get have other places to get the information we need.
I'm glad that I can help you out. Your yahoo Mail or whatever e-mail you put in your gmail account well be your primary cause if should forget your e-mail address or your password. So that gmail can send your gmail e-mail address and password too.
Ok that should clear things up for you. I have been using gmail since 2004. I well never go back to yahoo e-mail ever again to slow and a pain the butt to use sometimes LOL....

Just to add. The reason for having more than 1 type of email account, is, that sometimes their servers go down. This way you are not reliant on one option. Belt and braces if you like :)

The sad thing is that I got Yahoo email because a 2 week job search training facility would only allow that one .. and I use it to apply for jobs online with a scanner-friendly email (online potential employers scan resumes they get into a folder on their computer instead of dealing with paper). Now I can't use this email address anymore.

I was told a number of things that could fix this but none of them have worked for me. Checking Adblock Plus or NoScript for blocking yahoo. The thing is is that I have used the same set up for 6 months (as long as I have had this yahoo account and have always used it on Firefox .. used to be 2 but the last month Firefox 3 and just fine) but today was the first time I got this error.

Very disappointing that Yahoo should do this. It seems there are no safe email clients out there that are web based anymore and I liked Yahoo's classic mode as it didn't force a stupid chat with your contacts on you (which any professional email doesn't need).

This is the error I got on Classic Mode in Yahoo email:

The page at http://ca.mg4.mail.yahoo.com says:
Component returned failure code: 0x805e000a [nsIDOMLocation.replace]

[OK]

Okay some how my yahoo email went to non-classic mode. Turning it back to Classic mode fixed the problem!

hi guys:
I use Firefox 3.0.11 and I fix the problem. just follow the following steps:
1-log-on in your yahoo account
2-write a new message (yada-yada) to any contact; don't send it, just leave it ready to send.
3-at this point go to Tools, then to Adblock Plus Preferences, then to View, then check: Enable, Hits, and Last hit.
4-in Adblock Plus Preferences go to Filters; then click in Reset Hit Statistics; then reset them.
5-at this point all hit statistics are zero; then leave the Adblock Plus Preferences window opened.
6-now go back to your yahoo message and try to send it. you'll get the same nagging that you cannot do it. doesn't matter. keep trying 5 or 6 times.(it is to make it counts the hits, so as much as you try the higher the hits will be, it's to make easier to find the filter which is blocking the yahoo account).
7-go back to Adblock Plus Preferences window and look under the Hits and Last Hit columns. Remember that hit statistics are zero? yes, so if you tried five times you look for 5 under number of hits, once located the filter UNCHECKED IT. that's it, you have fixed the problem. that was the filter which was blocking your yahoo account.
8-close Adblock Plus Preferences window, go back to your yahoo message and send it and you will see it goes through without a problem. Listo !!
9-if not make same procedure until the filters involved in any email account are unchecked.

My girlfriend blocked it, how? I don't know; she is beautiful but so stupid, even she can damage an iron sphere, no offense but I'll choose a smart woman instead of a pretty brainless bird when time to get married comes. now just fun. (I'll keep in contact with my University female classmates)

Moreover, I cannot live without my Firefox and its extensions such as Adblock, FoxTab, SanScript, Fireshot, and so on. I cannot use IE because is so unreliable.

well guys, I hope this info would have help you

ciao monellos
