Yahoo IM install error?

Hi,

Had installed & was using Yahoo IM on this machine.

For some reason had to restore the last back up using Macrium Rescue CD, all went well.

When tried to install Yahoo Messenger get this error soon after the install begins.

Any suggestions, clues, why.......same machine, same OS?

Despite disabling AV, Win Defender, it's still the same. Once the download starts a pop up opens & the download stalls when it's about to end.

Mike, have you tried going to command prompt and running sfc/scannow?

Yahoo support emailed & sent a link. That link is to re download windows installer but doesn't apply for W7. Does that mean that during restore of Macrium image the windows installer got corrupted?

How can one check that windows installer for W7 is running fine?
