Yahoo does not seem to open

I am using Windows XP Pro and I'm using IE 7 if I tried to go to Yahoo.com it does not open or do anything, and try going to some bank websites and miscellaneous other websites they do not open either. I have been told that the problem is in Internet Explorer I have removed Internet Explorer and then reinstalled it but still have the same problem. Any suggestions will be gladly accepted.

Try checking your internet settings in Tools, Internet Options make sure in the Security an Privacy tabs they're not set too high also you may have to check your advanced tab settings.
