My computer has been messing up lately. It is an XP. When I'm on it, a blue screen comes up and says that it has encountered a problem and has been shut down to avoid damage. It tells me to disable BIOS memory options such as shadowing and caching. It happens when I'm listening to music and ripping music from a CD. Also, on Media Player and Movie Maker, it says that it has a problem and needs to close and I need to send an error report. I try to, but it doesn't have Internet. Is there anything I can do to fix all this? I'm getting extremly aggravated with it. I would like to start listening to music and ripping it again and making videos again, too. Please help!

That sounds like a Blue Screen Error. Many of them are fixable without a reinstall if you can figure out what is causing them.
Is there any file name or error message listed on the Blue Screen?
