I have only recently read your article on creating an XP Mode for Windows 7, which was very well written & very informative. Can you please advise me however if the process will work ok with a Windows 7 64bit system. I have Windows 7 Home premium 64bit currently installed & I would like to use the Windows XP Home edition disc that I have to create the XP mode.
Thank you in advance for any advice you can give me !

Just follow the How-To Geek Guide on how to setup Windows XP Mode using Virtualbox:
http://www.howtogeek.com/howto.....windows-7/

It will work for your version of Windows and you will not need to use your Windows XP disc.

Is not available in home premium

So use VirtualBox; https://www.virtualbox.org/

Very many thanks to both digitalagent & vistamike for responding so quickly. There is however an editors note against 'virtualbox' which suggests this method can only be used for 30 days ! Is this fact or fiction ?

VB is a free program and it works great. Check it out the wiki (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VirtualBox) and download it here: https://www.virtualbox.org/ .
