XP bios setup?

I am attempting to setup a wireless network.
The system that I am linking to the network will not display it's MAC address. after entering 'ipconfig /all' the black screen will appear for a second then dissappear!
Can anyone please help?

click start -> run. then type 'cmd'(no quotes). then use your ipconfig /all command.
