Here is an interesting problem that is causing me to lose some hair...I recently bought a new Belkin N+ wireless router. I set it up as per the directions and very quickly I got on line with my wireless computers. However, I can not get the wired computer to connect to the internet. Everything on this side of the modem works fine. I can ping back and forth between all of the computers connected to the router...I just can't get the wired connection to the internet. I tired turning off firewalls and virus protection, but none of that worked. I tried fixing the IP address of the wired computer...no dice. If I plug the wire from the router into my laptop, it works fine, so the problem is definitely between the router and the wired computer. HELP!

Is the wired computer looking for a specific IP address while the router is trying to give it one?
Go to Control Panel\Network Connections then click on manage network connections
Right click on Local Area connection in the box that pops up and choose properties
Choose internet protocol version 4 (tcp/ipv4) and then click properties
Make sure the radio buttons for Obtain an IP address automatically and Obtain DNS server automatically are lit/checked whatever you wanna call it.
