I just built a new computer with these specs:

Antec 900 case
Asus P5N-D Motherboard
Samsung 500GB hard drive
Rosewill 600w power supply
Nvidia 9800 gtx+ graphics card
Plextor dvd/cd drive
Cosair 4gb ddr2 800 ram
Intel core 2 duo E8400

I finished building my computer and when I put in the XP disk to install XP, after it gets to the part where it says Setup is Loading Windows XP, it freezes and doesn't do anything. I've tried on my other computers and they all work so what is wrong with my computer?

Thanks if you can help

computernerd,

Nlite will work fine.
---
Your MB has a NVIDIA nForce 750i SLI Chipset.
---
The Asus Setup CD should have a [ make boot floppy ] program with the Chipset Drivers.
---
The Chipset drivers will also have to be incorporated into the XP Slipstream Installation CD if you don't have a floppy drive.
---
The Asus Setup CD also has the other Machine Device Drivers on it that will be needed after O/S installation.
---
Become very familiar with it.

I figured if you could Build a Machine, you could certainly figure out how to make a XP Slipstream Installation. :) :)
