For some reason, my windows xp no longer recognizes most of my usb devices. The only device it does recognize is my Motorola Q cellular phone that runs Microsoft Active Sync plus I manually use Intellisync for FNF. I have a digital camera, and a couple of thumb drives that all worked after installing Active Sync but with issues. Now the computer will not recognize any of the devices and will not assign a drive letter or show up in My Computer. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated...

I get that message when i plug in my Sony Ericsson W580i, and i just Ignore it and X it off,
go to my computer and open the files normally.

I was going to suggest going to "My Computer" but you already said it wasn't there...
Maybe you have to install a driver of some kind or a program, but did your PC used to recognize USB devices?

Anyway, if you don't get a soloution go to :
