I had just uninstalled works from older desktop, it prompted to re-start & when it did re-start it goes as far as the blue windows xp screen & wont go any further, if I do CTRL ALT DEL, the desktop background comes up with no icons to shortcuts , the task manager comes up but it wont respond to anything.
I have tried safe mode to try & do system restore through task manager but I still cant get it to do anything.
PLEASE HELP, its a friends computer & I'm panicking..............
