Has anyone come across the above error message, there is no error codes just the message above, I've checked the Event Log and nothing is showing up there. Not sure is it's a hardware issue or Windows issue.
Windows XP with SP3 installed.

Running chkdsk now to see if there's any errors

Found this and it seems to work for Windows XP, for anybody that comes across this problem.
Open up services.msc and disable EventLog service, Reboot, then go to c:\windows\System32\config
Find the following "Sysevent.evt, Appevent.evt, Secevent.evt" either rename or delete, they will be recreated.
Enable the EventLog service again, setting it to automatic, reboot and all should be fine.
Apparently there is corruption in these files that causes this issue.
