When i opens a new window, for e.g., when i double click my computer icon, it shows "not responding" for a second and then works fine. This is happening with every window i open, like any drive( C: D: or E:) or any folder etc. This is so irritating. I tried to restart my system but the problem persists. I use windows 7 RC. Please help me out...

Have u scanned your PC for any virus/malware!?
Please check if Malwarebyte's Anti-Malware finds something bad.

The reason may be itself Windows 7RC! Because it(RC) wasn't yet compatible with all/some software apps, that might be causing that and your problem can persist you till you move to Windows 7 RTM or the released one(22 OCT 2009).
Also you should try doing a DiskCleanup & CCleaner to help you remove the unnecessary things(temporary files, temporary internet files etc...) and then do a Disk Defragment.
It didn't happen to me! but i would try these steps.
