LOL! You know the screenshot that i posted...it's supposed to be tidy and uncluttered...
if you saw it before, you would think "BLIMEY" its like a very very dense RainForest"
But i seriously need everything in the desktop.
but maybe it's cos i'm 14 :P

I hate clutter, and all these xtra progs to >Tidy ur space< ,
i think i am gonna take of loads of extra stuff, i will post it when im done :)

minimise all open windows win (win+m)
and maximise all the ones you just minimised with (win+shift+m) :)

you should try out launchy then you dont really need any thing on the desk top at all

@LightHouse,
i have QuickLaunch, but i just dont like windows side bar...i can't bear it, the first thing i do when i boot up is exit sidebar, don't wanna use up any CPU even though my RAM is 2.0 GB :P

@Jack,

Oo, i miss all the icons :

I filled the Quick Launch, it feels like Long Launch now LOL.
BTW, does anyone know the name of the "Windows Side Bad" in the MSConfig Startup settings?
i'm not sure which one to choose.

xenomex, why don't you enable Quick Launch. Right click on the taskbar > Toolbars > check Quick Launch. This way all the program icons will disappear behind 2 chevrons (>>). If you click the chevrons, the icons with the program names will reappear.
Regarding the sidebar: in All Programs > Accessories you will find it and can start it from there. Then go to the top of the sidebar and click on the + to find the different options (gadgets). Note, there are a lot more on-line (on the bottom right of the sidebar options window).
PS: the sidebar is great. Especially the AppLauncher and the meters.

I don't understand why you guys use Launchy. I need to check it out. From what i gather though, it seems you don't really need it. I have all my icons hidden and i have the desktop toolbar on my taskbar. Just click the chevron and up pops a menu with all of my desktop icons. Am i missing something with the Launchy thing?


By indisent at 2008-05-22

With Rocket Dock and my desktop toolbar on the taskbar, what else do i need?
