the concepts about windows seven is not yet final. paul thurrot's site (i don't know how to spell) shows windows seven a sanpshot but it looks like 100% vista.
just like vista, seven is offered in versions.
to have a glance on seven, go to deviantart then search windows seven.

Scott: Oui, oui! Je suis un drôle de type. Lately, just about any large software package, inluding OSes, are released early and with bugs. We are all beta testers in that sense.

BTT, when is Windows 7 supposed to ship? What's a good bet on when it will *actually* ship?

One of the Redmond minions leaked '09 but IMO 2010 is a more reasonable target. And who would be surprised if that gets pushed into 2011 or beyond. XP will be on SP6 by then ;)

FYI, we were lucky enough to beta test Windows OneCare and they did send us a free 1 year sub. As part of the Windows Feedback Program (they installed 'spyware' for 3 months), we were able to secure 1 copy of Vista Ultimate and 1 copy of Ultimate Orafice.

If I see any of these types of giveaways, I'll be sure to post them here.

Scott, do I take it that your prediction of XP SP6 means you think that the June cutoff date for XP will be pushed out as well?

Well, I was kidding about XP SP6, but hey, ya never know with MS. Products are delayed, extended, amended ad nausea.
With the probability of having to integrate some or all of Yahoo, priorities will be like triage.
