windows not starting

hi can anyone help please i start my pc it goes through the boot screen and then just black screen with curser blinking in the top left corner

@guiltyspark no i can't go in safe mode and if i put the installation cd and try to repair it says the windows on my pc is not compatible with the version on the cd i even installed windows7 again but still i can't boot it goes through the screen that says press f2 or delete to enter setup and when it goes to next screen that is supose to show windows is starting but instead its just a black screen with the flashing curser in the left corner

Can you try
CTRL + ALT + DEL does it give you anything to repair etc??
Also a bit more info needed.
Make computer or laptop etc assume you are using windows 7...

And how long do you let that black screen with curser run, before disturbing it ?

cntrl alt and del restarts the pc its a ecs h61h2-m3 mobo 4gig 1333 ram gt430 gpu 520 powersupply and 500 gig hdd

o its win 7 ultimate 64bit and black screen running for 30min now

So lets re confirm...

Make and year?Lap top or computer?
Model?
Year?
OS you say Win7 ultimate 64 bit

Shutdown.. Restart.. what screens if any do you get?
What do you get if you tap F2 at start up.?
Have you tried different F keys? what results?

At what stage do you get the black screen?
