I'm using win7 with an external drive that holds over 5000 songs. I loaded a blank cd in order to burn some songs for a friend. For some reason the burn function will not work, message says files have been moved, renamed or deleted but that doent make sense because i can play the music files. Error message is c00d1197. Dont know what to do next, i made no changes to anything on my laptop this just happened out of the blue.

Try another burning program. There are plenty on the web - e.g. here: http://mp3.about.com/od/essent.....ftware.htm or this one: http://filehippo.com/download_deepburner/

You said that it is an external drive , are you sure that you are pointing the correct drive letter???? perhaps you have unplug your hard drive and it took another new letter.

Thx scorpion, but no, my hard drive wasnt unplugged and the drive letter hasnt changed
