(5 posts)Steve, there are two ways to go about this. You can cut the MP3 file into multiple, smaller MP3 files with an MP3 "cutter" program, such as this freeware one:

The other way would be to decode the MP3 into a WAV file, which is as simple as opening the file in an audio editor. Then you can clip out the pieces more precisely. You may already have some kind of audio or "WAV" editor, maybe one that came with your system or if you have Nero there is a WaveEditor in the full package. If you need to get one, Audacity is freeware and very popular:
