(Solved) - Windows in Windows ?

I find that I have a C:\Windows directory that has a Windows sub directory. Only sub directory within both is "Boot" and neither have any common directories nor files. Discovered that whilst looking for the Fonts directory.

Is this common? How did this come about?

Can I merge them??

EDIT: I find my Win 7 on a laptop also has two Windows directories???

There are quite a number of 'windows' subdirectories (you have not seen them all yet). DO NOT TOUCH THEM - unlees you would like your system to come to a screaching halt.
