Windows FireWall Service wont turn on

Hi!

I am having a weird problem that has been going on for a while now. Every time i try to start Windows Fire wall i get this:
"Windows Cannot Start the Windows Firewall Service"

Any fixes? please and thank you

Tehspinz, hi.

What Antivirus are you running? And does that A/v include its own Firewall?

What other security software are you running?

Include cleaners, boosters etc.

Most important to know what you are running.

Im using Avast Antivirus and it does have its own firewall. But my pc is almost 6 years old and it worked fine all along.

Turn off the Avast firewall. You can't run two.

Still doesn't work :(

The Avast firewall must still be running, does it show in msconfig / startup?

As Lighthouse said above, you can't run two.

Any reason why you feel the need to run Windows Firewall?
