Its been a long time since I have used the windows fax program. I have installed the Fax Console. My problem I forgot how to and where to attach a landline phone line to my desktop. Is it the same port we use to connect our ethernet cable to get wi-fi? If so, then wouldn't i be removing the benefit of the internet? I know there are many fax centers, offering free 30 day trials, and am trying to avoid those. I hate to give them the impression that I am interested in their program, whereas I am not. I am more interested in having someone send me a fax, then sending one.

(3 posts)You need a Fax Modem Card that will install in a PCIe or PCI Slot.
For newer MBs with PCIe slots, this is good.

Ideally you want a Hardware "Controller-based" Fax/Modem.
