We have successfully used AVG Free 7.5 for a number of years. In the past 3 days, it is returned an error message & when the AVG Control Centre is checked the message "Anti-Virus: Internal database is out of date" is displayed. All other features of AVG Free 7.5 are operational & status is green. Have tried uninstalling & reinstalling from the original CD but it seems to have difficulty accessing the website for updates, etc.
Wondering if AVG Free 7.5 has been 'turned off' with the introduction of AVG Free 8.0?
If can't be resolved, am looking to purchase AVG 7.5 (if still available) as the age of the operating system won't run anything above 7.5.
Looking for any advice, etc. What changed in that it's stopped working in the past few days?
