Windows 8 RT or Pro ?

Hey Guys ;

i am a student who uses the web to program e.g PHP, HTML, CSS etc

i also like to video edit,photoshop and camtasia and offer my services for security penertration. i obv. want i5-i7 but am not sure RT or Pro./

Pro has a few more buissness features right? do you think i need them ?

my budget is up to 1500-£2000 MAX

You sound like you need to wait for PRO! "Surface RT will run Windows 8 RT, which will come with certain limitations. Windows RT will not include core Windows 8 apps like Windows Media Player and can only run software written using the Windows Runtime (Metro style apps). "

In your case the business aspects might not be so important as would be the need for installing programs from sources other then the windows marketplace. RT will only allow marketplace apps to be installed. If you want any editing/pentesting programs that you might use in win7 then you'd need Pro. Though if your doing pentesting you probably want bitlocker on that sucker just incase it wanders off.
