3 Flavors

Going through each of the features of each Windows 8 Edition, I see a BIG problem coming for Builders, Enthusiast and Hobbyist IF the Windows 8 Pro Edition is only made available through a Volume License Agreement.

Remembering back, this ALMOST happened with the introduction of XP but at the last minute was changed by MS.

Of course consumers were allowed to purchase any Edition of Windows 7 EXCEPT for the Highly Covenanted Enterprise Edition.

Am sadden by the news as I see a 3-5 VLA coming my way next year which is a totally unexpected high cost to keep up my hobby. :( :(

This smells a bit like the Windows 95 OSR2 issue MS artificially created.

I guess the the off-shore pirate sites will flourish once again as everyone scrambles to get hands on the "good" Edition of the product.

Looks like Windows 8 Pro will be offered to Consumers WITHOUT volume License agreement. :) :)

Good to CONFIRM we can purchase Windows 8 Pro Edition.

The NON-Pro Edition is for the Pre-Built OEM Consumers.

Machine Builders will choose the Windows 8 Pro Edition.
