Judging from all of the articles that you are posting, Windows 8 must be very different from what we are accustomed to. I, for one, have purchased Windows 7 for my 3 computers and am quite sateisfied with Windows 7. I can't imagine why anyone would want to change and be subjected to such a long learning curve. I don't think that it is appreciaated that Microsoft products are having such a short shelf life. I wonder how many people and businesses will rush to make the change.

Phil4a, you should install VMPlayer on your Windows 7 machine and then download and install Windows 8 in the VM. That's what I did and to me it pretty much verifies that Microsoft is very dedicated to that hit-miss-hit-miss-hit----- (98-ME-XP-Vista-Win7-----) cycle of operating systems that they produce.

Kinda hope Windows 9 is out before my Windows 7 hardware fails.
