In XP it was possible to select the view settings for each folder and it would retain those settings. My biggest annoyance with W7 is then If I change the view setting for one folder they all change. I realize one can't have different view setting for primary folders and sub folders, but I would like to be able to have different view setting for different primary folders. For example, I'd like my documents folder in details view, but I have another folder I'd like in tiles view. Is this possible and if so how?

(2 posts)I had the same problem with Vista where it started. Just google " folder view keeps changing". You will get several fixes which did correct my problem. I don't seem to have any problem with windows 7 although I upgraded from Vista so the fix might might not have gotten overwritten when upgrading.
