I was wondering if anyone know the official (or currently official) system requirements for Windows 7. I found this article on lifehacker and it says that Windows 7 has the same system requirements as Windows Vista.

While Windows Vista did have a system requirement of 1GB of RAM, many people will tell you it needs 2GB. Some articles claim that Windows 7 actually will run on 1GB.

Beta bugs aside, I was wondering how Windows 7 performs on everyone's computer that can run it (mine I know could not), and what their specs are?

From what I've seen:

1GB RAM
128MB Video Card + DX9 Support
At least 1Ghz Processor
16GB HD Space

My system specs:
4GB RAM
128MB Intel GM965 Video Card
2.4Ghz Intel Core Duo
100GB HD

So...Probably same applies as in Vista. 1GB will run...right now with Firefox open with 3 tabs, music playing in WMP12, Norton 360 Beta running, and a few settings panes open its sitting at 1.03GB RAM usage. So it will run, but not after you get a lot of stuff installed...or games running probably
