Hey Guys,

I'm running Windows 7 Pro RTM. I unplugged my Western Digital Passport last night and shut the machine down this morning. When i just went to boot up i got the following error:

When i plugged the Passport back in and reboot , everything works fine. The passport is assigned Drive letter P: , i'm not sure why windows would need it plugged in to start right. Weird. Any ideas?

Have you used the Safely Remove Hardware dialogue in taskbar before unplugging?

W7 might think the drive is still plugged in,prior to the actual plugging.

Well, i decided to reboot one more time and it's working now. Weird. Seems to be a common problem though. Found quite a few results through Google.
