Who knows? They already backtracked on the three running
app limit for Starter on netbooks. It is MS but maybe they'll,
ahem, surprise us? If not, you can still use RC2 or RC3 ;) for
many months. By then there may be a sale on Amazon/eBay !

I like the first half of your post and actually have railed against MS for their multiple versions on these pages.
I'm willing to be patient and see the pricing strategy for consumers (businesses, who knows their motivations).
