A program would not work with IE8 so I went to Programs/Features and iunchecked IE8. I tried to download IE7 but the response was that my OS (Win7RC) did not support IE7. I went back to Programs.Features and entered a check for IE8. IE8 did not come back. What happened? How do I get it?

louborok, hello. I'm not sure you can really lose IE8 from Windows 7. Look in your %PROGRAMFILES% directory for an Internet Explorer folder. So, that might be C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer on your system. If you see iexplore.exe and associated helper files, there is your IE8. Here's a list of the files in my IE folder:
