i have windows vista home premium 32 bit and i know my computer has all of the specs needed to run a 64 bit windows 7 system but with the upgrade can i go directly from the 32 bit vista home premium to the 64 7 professional?
can i use the electronic download or do i need you to get the disc kit?

i appreciate any and all help and suggestions :)

Upgrades are only going to work on the same bit version, 32 to 32, 64 to 64. Both versions are on the upgrade, but that is how MS did it. Need to switch, buy the FULL VERSION, not an upgrade set of install media.

well i am using a student discount thing, theultimatesteal.com provides microsoft software at a dicounted price. windows 7 professional is on there and i dont know if its the upgrade of the full thing
