Windows 7 Pro Network problem

I am running W7 pro sp1 (64 bit) and cannot connect to my router. My Tenda W268R router is working fine with my printer as well as a notebook and BluRay player attached. But when I try to connect from my Desktop, I have to enable the 802.11 wireless lan card, which then enables a WEP secured network, which gets it's SSID from my Router's SSID. When I attempt to connect to this network, it does not accept my network pass phrase. So I had to set up my Desktop wired. Does anyone else have this problem? Would anyone know of a solution? Thanks in advance.

Setup the router for WPA- Personal and also setup the computer for the same.

Ensure the Encryption type is setup for the same on both the router and computer. (TKIP or AES)
