I have an inherited Windows 7 machine which I have tried to reset the password on- without success. I have tried creating a CD, but when it boots, an alarm-ish type of bell-tone sounds until I hit the power button. Then it boots normally, but no luck. I tried the recovery cd, then command prompt but it returned "The system cannot find the path specified" when I tried to create the copy of "sethc.exe". Upon examining the directory, turns out there is no file name sethc.exe. I'm at an impasse and hoping someone can help- thanks loads! ...Fred

burn it to a disc using a burning program that includes ISO burning
example; nero
boot with the Disc
and change your password
requirements;
-internet access
-common sense

i am Using the windows 7 enterprise in dell optiplex 390 system.& these system running in the domain network.
now i have a problem in the enabling the LAN adapter in my desktop.in my system i am unable to login with the local as well as the network admin.
So without login how can i enable my lan adapter.In our network we are login only when the internet is working,if internet is down then we are unable to logged into the network.so give me the proper solution for that.or give how to reset my local admin password.
