i am only able to see my sata drives in IDE mode and as such cannot install windows 7(64 bit) in sata and when i try to switch to sata my drives disappear. not sure if this is a problem with mobo or if its something else also i am getting the missing Bootmgr press CTRL + ALT + DELETE to restart message as well. I have tried using the repair in the windows 7 disk but it still remains. Can someone help?

Well the Sata problem is a driver issue. You should see an option saying "Load Driver" (or something similar) at which point you insert the driver disk (that came with your mobo) or if you don't have one storage drivers can usually be downloaded from the manufacturers website and installed from a flash drive.

As for the Boot MGR problem, have you tried this?
