I am trying to install a Dell OEM Copy of Win7 32 on my old Dell Dimension 4700. I have run the adviser and it passes without any issues. However, after booting to the DVD, the install routine starts, copy files for a while, then stops and asks for a driver for the CD/DVD. Any suggestions on how to stop this error, or get past it?

Do you get the 'next' option? If so click it. Windows will or should have automatically load the atapi driver.
Your machine is quite old and I think you are going to have manifold driver problems
Also OEM windows 7 is to your original machine will not activate on the new install
